Welcome to my
website. I would like to invite you into
my stables, and for you to meet me and my family,
and all my lovely horses!
I am so enthusiastic about my sport and I
would love to share it with a few more people. |

Please look around my website and enjoy getting to
know all about the sport of Eventing and whether you would like
to get more involved with me and my horses.
Here are a few Questions and Answers, to help you
get a picture!
When did you first learn
to ride? When I was a baby, Mummy always took me
with her to do her horse, and I always would point up and ask to be
put on board. I would hold onto his rug, as Mummy brought him in
from the field, when I was about 18 months old. I then used to
ride all the school ponies at my Mum’s work, and tag onto all the
lessons I could!! Later, as my stickability increased, I used
to get all the naughty ones to sort out!!
When did you have your
first win? I won the novice jumping league one
winter at Golden Cross on my pony Woody, who was a complete star.
I was 7 years old.

If you could change
something in Eventing, what would it be? I would
love never to have an injured horse, as it is so heartbreaking when
you see them hurt. The prize money is also very low - it's
hard work, for so little reward. Bad ground is also something
I'd change, although so many events now work really hard to produce
the best ground they can.
What has been your
biggest achievement? Two Team Gold Medals at
Young Rider European Championships, plus completing both Badminton
and Burghley at my first attempts.
What to date has been
the highlight of your career? Winning team gold
in Sweden for the GB Young Riders. It was a fantastic buzz as
the result was so close, and we had to fight from behind.
Also, galloping through the finish at Badminton this year (2007) on
Jesters Quest. It was the most amazing feeling, as I had
wanted it for so long.
Who would you like to
invite to dinner (past or present)? Brad Pitt,
Robbie Williams, Ray from the X Factor 2006, and Simon Cowell (how good
would that be!!!)
Who do you most admire
in Eventing and why? Mark Todd because he was
able to get on any type of horse and get the best out of it.
Aslo, William Fox-Pitt is a legend, as he is SOOO relaxed, while
being completely organised.
What do you do to
relax? Watch Neighbours, go out with my friends
dancing, or going out for dinner (I LOVE food, especially
good food!), and have a large glass of wine.
What do you like most
about Eventing? A great sense of achievement when
the horses go well in all the three disciplines, especially when I
have taught the horse from the very beginning of his career.
If you could be another
sportsperson who would it be and why? I would
like to be someone like Ellen Whitaker who has amazing talent, but
also comes from an incredibly horsey background so has a huge
support team behind her. Outside horses, although I might not
want to be them, I really admire Paula Radcliffe, as she is so
relentless and never gives up, Jonny Wilkinson, who is so prepared,
and so cool under pressure, Lewis Hamilton (who is the same age as
me), who is fantastically talented and ambitious (and I'd REALLY
like to be paid as much as him!!), but has come through from an
underprivileged background, and Ellen MacArthur for bravery and
determination. I guess all of these have what I admire most -
the years of hard work behind them.
What makes a great event
horse? I think the main thing is to have a horse
that wants to win and has a good attitude, obviously the horse has
to be talented and have plenty of athletic ability.
What are your favourite
horsey items and products? I love all my Puffa
clothing, all the new designs are really great (well done Tori!!);
plus Equine America - I use their joint supplements, and others if I
need to; Nupafeed, which is new to me, but I swear by it
already; Carr, Day & Martin products are also really cool
(especially as I don't do dirty horses!!)
What is your favourite
event? My favourite one-day event is Burnham
Market, as it's early in the season, it has a great atmosphere, and
it has so many different classes, so it is a worthwhile trip.
My favourite three-day has to be Badminton, just for its sheer size
and prestige.
What is your favourite
horse, past or present? Jesters Quest is my
favourite horse, as we have gone from 2 star to 4 star together, and
I have formed a very close bond with him. He is a complete
gentleman, and anyone could handle him in the stable. To ride,
he is quirky and sensitive, but with the right approach, he will do
anything for me.
Where do you see
yourself in five years time? I would love to be
on the London 2012 Olympic squad - this is my dream. To be on
top of the podium would be the ultimate. My Dad and Mum would
both cry! A good string of horses and owners behind me will
also be really important.
