Gemma has, from a very early age, been dedicated to the sport of eventing. She is talented, hard working and ambitious, and has achieved her primary objectives every year since before 2000.

  • Gemma has been re-selected to the World Class Development programme for for five consecutive years, as a potential future champion, and was promoted to the 'Potential' level after completing Badminton in 2007

  • Gemma won a team gold (individual 5th) at the European Young Riders (under 21) championships in Sweden in 2005, and team gold again (individual 7th) in Czech Republic in 2006

  • Completed both Badminton and Burghley at her first attempt in 2007

  • Leading Junior (under 18) Event rider in the UK in 2003, won the British Young Rider (under 21) Championships in 2004, and topped the under 21 points table in 2005, winning the Edy Goldman trophy

  • 8th in the European Junior Championships 2003, and leading British Rider

  • Winner of the Hubert Allfrey Trophy in 2003, presented at the National ‘Eventers Ball’ in Birmingham

"Gemma and Molly achieved a personal best as a combination and their 8th individual placing was a considerable achievement in the Junior European Championship where the individual places were largely dictated by the dressage results.

Molly's test result was almost exactly as we had expected and her clear round in the time cross country in the hot conditions was very pleasing. Gemma proved herself to be an excellent Junior competitor, worthy to be in the Squad and to wear the British flag.

I am sorry she will be too old to be a Junior next year!"
