My Team
I could not do what I do today without the help of quite a few people. All these people are incredibly important to me and I want them to know that whenever we have success, I might be the one piloting the horse around but without their backing and support , it would just not be possible.
A great big thank you from me to everyone!
Elodie
Otherwise known as 'Lods' and known for asking "is it lunch time yet?"
She who must be obeyed..........she does organising, grooming, driving, entries, admin, PR, accounts......pretty much anything you can think of.....and has an amazing sense of humour (yes I know, she needs it!!)
Alice
Having been here for 2 years Alice has worked very hard and now starts 2012 as Assistant Yard Manager, looking after things when Elodie is away or trying to do paperwork in the office!. She is a demon little worker, always cheerful and friendly, and is a great asset to the team.
James
A new addition to the team for 2012, James has come to learn the ropes on a big yard and has brought his own horse, Bally, to compete this season. He is great fun to have around and his "singing" keeps us all entertained!
Louise
A new working pupil for 2012, Louise is learning fast, picking Elodie's brains and working towards her BHS Stage 3!
Leianne
works full time at Hylands for my mum and comes to Tattleton once a week to help us out. She is a nice little jockey and a very helpful addition to the Team. Her beautiful sweeping makes Elodie very happy!
Chris and Lisa
They own the beautiful Tattleton where I am lucky and honoured enough to be based now. They come to watch at the weekends when they can ... They own Kings Gem, Chico Bella, Chequila, Quicklook, brood mares and the gorgeous Chilli's Gem, Chilli Knight and Chilli's Hero.
Alex
She is Chris and Lisa's daughter and has taken over the reins of Cult Dolly Mix. They have got a great partnership and compete as much as possible both with Alex's school riding team and at BE. When she is not busy at school she comes to help us on the yard and at competitions which is much appreciated!
Margaret
She is the owner of The Perfect Storm. She comes to all the events and watches. She is a wonderful support and just loves to see the horses performing.
Sue, Tony and Sarah
They are the owners of Chamrock and a third of Tropique. They always come to the Events and watch everything. Tony will always hang on to a horse and help do jumps etc, Sue always brings things that make Elodie very very happy.
If Sarah can't come because of work she is on the phone wanting to know how we are getting on.
Charlotte
Is part owner of Tropique. She has been introduced gradually to eventing but now seems to love it! She is a great support and helps out with holding and walking of horses. Her husband Martin is also a great supporter (as long as it doesn't clash with the rugby!!!)
Ann
Is owner of Billy on Air (Pip). She is a new addition to Team Tattersall in 2011 but has fitted in really well and is a great supporter at events and even comes to hack Pip out at home when she can.
Grandma
She helps with the paperwork and accounts. When she comes to the flat she generally will help me with a clean!!!
She reads all the papers and if I am in one.......everybody knows!!!!
Jack
He is my brother....takes pics..... comes abroad...... helps with socialising!
Chris (my Dad)
He is really extraordinarily helpful, with anything to do with the computer, letters, my brain and anything else linked with that! He comes to events when he can and generally checks up on the score boards......not only those at the event.......but any other sport which might be on that day too!! Quite a cool dad but sometimes a little embarrassing, but then whose Dad isn't sometimes?
Papa
He is a mender, without him we would have all fallen apart.
Uncle Nick
My Godfather, who has been there for me always. He has helped me out with special things that I have wanted, such as my first bike!!! He has always supported me financally, and still does, every month, even in these tough times. He is completely unhorsey and really does not like them, especially as the first time he got on one, fell off at speed to dislocate his elbow and ended up in a sling and a lot of pain for some weeks!!! All his sister's fault though...of course!!!
James
He started out as my Personal Trainer.....and worked me very hard in my endless struggle to remain slim (and fit!). Shortly after meeting, he remained as my Personal Trainer but also turned into my boyfriend! He has had to learn about horses rather quickly, but seems to have taken to it......and I have rather taken to him!!!! He has become a huge part of my life and I am certain will be a big link in my success.
Tottie
She comes to all the events and supervises the walking of the course. She checks out underneath all the fences, to keep them clear of anything furry that thinks it MIGHT HIDE UNDER THERE!!! And I love her very very much!!!!
Toot
She Is Totties Grandma and as such is the only one who can keep her mildly in order. She comes to all the events ...walks courses...and then keeps all the beds warm.
Tingle
One of Totties puppies that my mum kept. She is gorgeous, very fluffy and takes sleeping VERY seriously!
Lex, the Lurcher, (otherwise known as La La)
She has a love brain cell. It is her only one....so its lucky it was that one! But we love her. She has to stay at home because she likes to visit everyone else's lorry and can't remember where hers is....
Jonty
He belongs to Elodie.....He has just one brain cell.......one less than Lex. But we love him.
Claire
Joint owner of Jesters Quest with me, and has supported me over the years with him. I cant thank her enough for giving me the ride on Wally-Two team Gold Medals and a fantastic ride round Badminton and Burghley.
Mandy (also known as Beryl)
She has been my surrogate Godmummy. She trundled round the country with us in our Bedford TK, which had no heating and various other faults. Going at beyond slow up the hills she would say "its a bit like the Flintstones this isn't it?" A sense of humour beyond all, and fantastic at producing lunch and dinner if we stayed away. She helped me get my first British flag with the amazing Milly Molly Mandy and I will always love her.
Louise and Bryony
These two girls have worked for my Mum and have been friends seemingly forever. Now all grown up (and both Mums themselves), they come back to teach at my Mum's riding school, which enables her to come eventing. They have both helped me with horses gone by in the past and will always be part of my team.
Mummy
I am not really sure I can quite sum up in a paragraph what she does for me, and what she means to me, but here goes: She drives the truck, and sings very loudly and occasionally (but not often!) in tune. She cooks, cleans and washes. She LOVES being mistaken for my sister, which happens an awful lot ( I am not quite so keen when that happens!) She helps with the horses at events and walks courses with me. She also makes a big effort to enjoy all the parties, and gets well into all the dancing. On top of all that, she runs a riding school. I don't know how she does it all, it makes me feel tired just thinking about it! She has always been my No.1 fan, and is my chief advisor, my best friend, and I love her to bits. She is quite frankly a legend!!!
And last but not least all the friends and liveries at home who watch out for me, help out in various ways and give me their support.
Thank you all.xxxxxxxxxx
