World young horse Championships at Le Lion D'Angers
We made the trip to France for the fantastic young horse championships, this is one of my favourite events. A chance to see some of the worlds best up and coming young horses. We took Chilli's Gem (Roo) for the 7yo CCI** section. This made me proud before we even started as I was there the day Roo was born and have ridden and trained her from day one.
She did her best dressage test to date, tried extremely hard and scored a good mark to be right in with a shout. A superb clear inside the time XC saw us climb the leader board into 4th place. She then jumped the best SJ round of her career so far, with the most unlucky lightest touch of a pole, meant we slipped to 7th, still I was so proud of this little horse and so look forward to her future. She has a big one ahead of her I feel!
This was the last event of the season. Was great to make it a really good finish.
